About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our award-winning Food and Beverage Team, as we are currently recruiting an Assistant Bar Manager. With stunning views across West Sands Beach, our Road Hole Bar offers an exceptional dining and beverage experience to our guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining high standards of service and operations
  • Supporting the Bar Manager in ensuring excellent customer service
  • Coaching and developing direct reports to achieve exceptional results
  • Resolving guest complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Forecasting staffing requirements and ensuring adequate staff volumes
  • Maintaining high standards of performance through regular appraisals and development plans
  • Driving the success of our Food and Beverage Team through continuous improvement initiatives

About You

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. You will have a track record of supporting and motivating a team, and possess a great front-of-house presence.

Ideal candidates will have relevant working experience within a four or five-star property and be a Personal License Holder, or be willing to gain this within their first three months of employment. Strong knowledge of Whiskies is preferred for this position.

Salary and Benefits

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, over a flexible shift pattern, with an element of weekend working. A competitive salary of £32,000 is offered, along with TRONC and a range of associate benefits, including:

Requirements

Key requirements include:

  • Bar management experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Hospitality experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Management experience: 1 year (required)
  • Supervising experience: 2 years (preferred)
  • Customer service experience: 3 years (preferred)

Work Location

This role is based in St Andrews, and the ability to commute or relocate to this location is required.
