Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Coordinator to join our team at Nyetimber. As a key member of our dispatch and warehouse team, you will be responsible for preparing client orders for dispatch, assisting with site activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Preparation: Pick and prepare sales orders of wine for dispatch to customers in a timely manner, ensuring that packaging and all dispatched items meet brand and regulatory standards.
  • Warehouse Operations: Assist with all site activities, including receiving, storage, shipping, and any logistics-related troubleshooting.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately complete all required paperwork or electronic records relating to dispatched items, stored items, and deliveries received.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, and report any facility-related matters to the Estate Office and/or Building Maintenance Technician.
  • Security and Compliance: Assist with the security of the building, daily opening and closing of site, and daily security diligence, while complying with all relevant company SOPRAs and health and safety policies and practices.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training temporary agency staff, ensuring any unsafe or quality issues are reported promptly.
  • Inventory Counts: Participate in the monthly stock inventory counts, for any goods on site.
  • Delegation and Problem-Solving: Deputise for the Dispatch Manager in case of absence or holiday, and be proactive in proposing solutions to any problems seen or discovered.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience in order picking, packing, and preparing sales orders for dispatch, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand standards.
  • Logistics and Warehouse Operations: Hands-on experience with receiving, storing, shipping, and troubleshooting logistics-related issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Forklift Operation: Proven ability and certification in operating a forklift safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
  • Health and Safety: Strong understanding and experience in adhering to health and safety regulations, particularly within a warehouse setting.
  • Training and Supervision: Experience in training and supervising temporary staff, with a focus on ensuring safe practices and high-quality work.
