Job Summary
Syntech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stores Assistant to join their team. As a key member of the warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the stores and supporting the Material Control Manager in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all material movements are made safely and efficiently, with due care and attention to oneself and others.
- Support and participate in the 5s program and maintain a high level of organization within the stores zones.
- Carry out other duties as requested by the Material Control Manager, including picking and delivering work orders in a timely manner.
- Ensure all stock is properly secured and maintained, and arrange collection of materials for external suppliers.
- Book orders onto the in-house system and maintain accurate stock control records.
Requirements
- Experience of working in a stores or handler role, with a strong understanding of inventory management principles.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Word and Outlook.
- Experience using an ERP system, with a strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Safe handling principles and a good level of physical fitness.
- Forklift license would be an advantage.
