We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marketing & Communications Manager to join our team on a fixed-term contract, covering a maternity leave. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to promote our brand and services.
Key Responsibilities- Marketing Strategy and Planning
- Contribute to the development of our overarching marketing strategy and marketing communications plans.
- Work closely with our Member Engagement Director to ensure alignment with our business objectives.
- Brand Management
- Act as brand guardian and lead copywriter/editor, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials.
- Develop and implement brand guidelines to maintain our brand identity.
- Social Media and PR
- Manage all social media platforms to engage with our audience and promote our brand.
- Lead all PR activity, including media relations and crisis communications.
- Content Creation and Distribution
- Lead the development and production of all marketing materials, including the quarterly member magazine and regional/national campaigns.
- Commission and manage relationships with external design and print agencies.
- Team Management
- Manage the Marketing & Communications Officer and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Act in a supporting role to the Member Engagement Director.
- Reporting and Administration
- Lead on the production of a monthly report for the Member Engagement Director.
- Produce a ROI report on press and media activity for each Board meeting.
- Experience
- At least five years' experience in marketing and communications, with a strong background in brand management and social media.
- Experience working in a membership-based organization is desirable.
- Skills
- Strong copywriting and editing skills, with experience of producing a range of marketing materials.
- Proficiency in content management systems and basic HTML.
- Excellent project management and team leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
- Education and Qualifications
- Fluency in English.
- Educated to degree level, or equivalent practical experience in marketing/communications.
