Empowering Learning: Seeking Teaching Assistants for SEMH and EBD Students

We are seeking experienced teaching assistants to join our team at Empowering Learning, working with students with social emotional mental health difficulties (SEMH) and emotional behavioural disorders (EBD).

About the Role

As a teaching assistant, you will work with students across all ages in our SEMH/EBD schools, alternative provisions, PRUs, or Primary Schools. You will be responsible for the behaviour support, learning, and progress of these students, working in a class of up to 8 students with SEMH statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behaviour support and learning assistance to students with SEMH and EBD
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised learning plans
  • Support students in developing their social and emotional skills
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Recent experience working with children with SEMH and EBD
  • Ability to work well under pressure and use initiative
