Job Profile for Mechanical Design Engineer

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical engineering aspects of complex machinery to meet project specifications and schedules.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification and experience in a similar role. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as well as proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical engineering aspects of complex machinery
  • Confer with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities
  • Prepare specifications for purchase of mechanical materials and equipment
  • Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications to ensure installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Manufacturing process knowledge
  • SolidWorks proficiency
  • Pharmaceutical or pressure vessel experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Office

Remuneration:

Salary dependent on experience, but likely £35k-£40k
