Mechanical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical engineering aspects of complex machinery to meet project specifications and schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers, customers, and stakeholders to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve process equipment, components, products, and systems.
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with mechanical specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish process compliance relating to site installations, industry standards, and specifications.
  • Prepare specifications for the purchase of mechanical materials and equipment.
  • Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience within a similar role.
  • Manufacturing processes and understanding.
  • SolidWorks (desirable).
  • Pharmaceutical or pressure vessel experience (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Problem-solving.
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Office.
Remuneration

Salary dependent on experience, but likely £35k-£40k.
