Job Profile for Mechanical Design Engineer

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's team in Liverpool. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical engineering aspects of complex machinery to meet project specifications and schedules.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification and experience in a similar role. You will be required to operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Additionally, you will direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with all mechanical aspects of specifications, codes, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical engineering aspects of complex machinery
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities
  • Prepare specifications for purchase of mechanical materials and equipment
  • Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications to ensure installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Manufacturing processes and understanding
  • SolidWorks (desirable)
  • Pharmaceutical or pressure vessel experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Office
Remuneration:

Salary dependent on experience, but likely £35k-£40k
