Role Overview
We are seeking an Automation Test Engineer for a permanent position. This role is integral to an Agile team, where the Test Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions that enhance customer experiences and support esure's transition to a data-centric, digital-first organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate within an Agile squad to test, develop, and deploy cutting-edge software that prioritizes customer needs. Create robust test automation frameworks and ensure that product acceptance criteria are consistently met through future iterations. Take ownership of testing in your designated area and work closely with product owners to define project backlog items with clear acceptance criteria. Evaluate modifications and develop test cases that ensure comprehensive test coverage. Contribute to enhancing the capabilities and processes of the Quality Engineering team by proposing and implementing improvements, sharing expertise, and promoting best practices in software testing.Desired Qualifications:
Extensive experience in test automation using Java and Selenium. Proficient in executing and validating both automated and manual testing processes, along with defect management. Familiarity with testing distributed, scalable, and highly available systems. Experience in testing software within cloud environments, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar platforms. Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and the ability to articulate and decompose user stories. Understanding of the broader Quality role necessary to enhance quality throughout the entire project delivery lifecycle and foster continuous improvement. Exposure to Agile methodologies, SCRUM, and DevOps delivery models. Proficiency with collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.Additional Insights:
