About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our Agile team at esure. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality software services that support the development of better experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within an Agile squad to test, build, and deliver industry-leading software that meets the needs of our customers.
  • Build high-quality test automation and ensure the acceptance criteria for a product continue to be met over many future iterations.
  • Responsible for the testing in your specific area and collaborate with product owners to build project backlog items with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Analyse changes being made and build test cases that provide appropriate test coverage.
  • Work to improve the capability and processes of the Quality Engineering team by suggesting and supporting improvements, sharing knowledge, and driving gold-standard software testing practices.

Requirements

  • Significant test automation experience with Java and Selenium.
  • Experience of executing and checking both automated and manual testing and defect management.
  • Experience testing distributed, scalable, and highly available systems.
  • Experience of testing software in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar.
  • BDD experience and ability to write and break down user stories.
  • An understanding of the wider Quality role required in order to improve quality across the full project delivery lifecycle and drive continuous improvement.
  • Exposure to agile, SCRUM & Dev Ops delivery model.
  • Collaboration tools: JIRA/ Confluence.
