Software Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role
We are recruiting for a talented Automation Test Engineer to join our Agile team at esure.
As a key member of our team, you will produce high-quality software services to support the development of better experiences for our customers and contribute to making esure a data-driven, digital-first organisation.
Responsibilities
- Work within an Agile squad to test, build, and deliver industry-leading software that meets customer needs.
- Develop high-quality test automation and ensure acceptance criteria are met over multiple iterations.
- Be responsible for testing in your specific area and collaborate with product owners to build project backlog items with clear acceptance criteria.
- Analyse changes and build test cases that provide appropriate test coverage.
- Contribute to improving the capability and processes of the Quality Engineering team by suggesting and supporting improvements, sharing knowledge, and driving gold-standard software testing practices.
Requirements
- Significant test automation experience with Java and Selenium.
- Experience executing and checking both automated and manual testing, and defect management.
- Experience testing distributed, scalable, and highly available systems.
- Experience testing software in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar.
- BDD experience and ability to write and break down user stories.
- Understanding of the wider Quality role required to improve quality across the full project delivery lifecycle and drive continuous improvement.
- Exposure to agile, SCRUM & Dev Ops delivery models.
- Collaboration tools: JIRA/ Confluence.
