Job Title: QA Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer to join our engineering organization, developing innovative InsurTech solutions. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure the quality of our business process automation applications.

The Role:
  • Work closely with developers to test newly developed software, primarily web-based applications.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the product under test and use this knowledge to identify defects and improvements to delivered features.
  • Contribute to test planning meetings, providing inputs on high-level test scenarios, challenges, risks, resources, and test estimates.
  • Collaborate with the team to refine user story acceptance criteria and ensure quality is embedded from the requirements analysis phase.
  • Perform exploratory testing to ensure new features are introduced to a high standard.
  • Review the level and scope of automation testing to inform exploratory testing.
  • Develop and execute test cases where automation is less applicable.
  • Work directly with developers to resolve defects and improve test processes and automation in an agile environment.
  • Liaise with QA representatives from other teams for integrated or shared component applications.
Responsibilities:
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance.
  • Deep understanding of software testing concepts and processes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Natural curiosity with advanced analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with testing complex web-based applications and APIs.
  • Ability to review requirements and structure an appropriate test strategy.
  • Experience with issue management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile team and environment.
  • Experience of continuous integration and delivery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Awareness of new testing tools and test strategies.
Desirable Skills:
  • General knowledge of the Insurance Industry.
  • Degree-educated with Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or relevant discipline.
