Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist in PICU and Flow Capacity Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in PICU and Flow Capacity Lead, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership for the assessment and management of general adult inpatients admitted to Hadleigh Unit, PICU.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership for the assessment and management of general adult inpatients admitted to Hadleigh Unit, PICU.
  • Lead the flow and capacity team to ensure efficient management of patient flow and bed capacity.
  • Collaborate with other services and agencies to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Conduct weekly ward reviews, Care Programme Approach meetings, and seclusion/segregation reviews.
  • Provide medical leadership to the flow and capacity team.
Requirements:
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Registration with the General Medical Council and on the Specialist Register.
  • Meets Royal College of Psychiatrists criteria for appointment to the post of Consultant.
  • Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician Status.
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
