Job Summary:

Taylor Root is seeking a highly skilled Senior Conflicts Lawyer to join our team. As a key member of our Business Acceptance Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the firm's compliance with relevant rules of professional conduct and our own conflicts policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective search strategies to identify potential conflicts of interest and confidential information issues.
  • Analyze and assess conflicts compliance with relevant rules and firm policies, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with lawyers and professionals firm-wide to identify, analyze, and resolve potential commercial conflicts of interest issues.
  • Act as a senior point of escalation for colleagues, providing guidance and support on conflicts-related matters.
  • Draft and review conflicts-related language for client engagement letters, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree and/or LLB, with prior demonstrable, substantive, and significant conflicts experience under the SRA or US rules (minimum 4 years, preferably more).
  • Prior fee-earning background of minimum a few years at an international business law firm is highly desirable, but not essential.
