Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Switchboard Team Leader to join our team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our Switchboard team, you will be responsible for leading a team of administrative staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our Switchboard services.

Main Responsibilities

As a Switchboard Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of administrative staff to ensure the efficient operation of the Switchboard
  • Managing a busy workload and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Developing and implementing effective team management strategies to improve productivity and morale
  • Providing excellent customer service and communication skills to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Administrative experience of working in a busy Switchboard/Helpdesk environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and lead effective teams
  • Strong leadership abilities and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to act proactively to ensure the smooth running of Team Operations and effective collaborations
