Role Summary:

The primary objective of this position is to successfully execute assigned projects on behalf of the organization and assist the New Technologies sales team in securing new business opportunities. A significant portion of the role will focus on advancing Green Technologies at Clarke Energy, including but not limited to green gases, battery energy storage systems (BESS), gas-to-grid solutions, hydrogen production, heat pumps, and hybrid systems that integrate solar and wind energy.

Key Responsibilities:

The main focus of this role is to drive new business development in the realm of green technologies.

Sales Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with potential and existing clients, developers, and specifiers to cultivate identified opportunities.
  • Collaborate with both external and internal sales teams to propose technical solutions.
  • Deliver technical and commercial presentations to stakeholders.
  • Prepare feasibility studies and investment-grade audit reports.
  • Provide support to sales, business development, and proposal teams across various Clarke Energy regions as needed.
  • Assist Proposals Engineers with tender submissions, including specification preparation, tender analysis, and budget reviews.
  • Conduct specific assessments of projects, opportunities, and technologies as required and report on their viability.
  • Work closely with marketing and engineering teams to develop opportunities and propose solutions to prospective clients.
  • Coordinate with project and service departments to ascertain delivery, installation, and ongoing support needs for new technologies.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field from a recognized institution (alternative qualifications may be considered with relevant industry experience).
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with power generation technologies, project development, and net-zero carbon initiatives.
  • Knowledge of territory-specific regulations, technical requirements, and standards related to generation equipment.
  • Proficient in IT applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in power generation markets relevant to Clarke Energy.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home as necessary.
  • Experience in low-carbon generation technologies.
  • Active interest in net-zero carbon initiatives.

This is a full-time permanent position, with the option for hybrid working arrangements. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
