Lead the Art and Design Department at Glenmoor and Winton Academies

About the Role:

The Head of Art and Design will be responsible for leading the department in a dynamic and inspiring environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and excellence in art and design education. This role involves curriculum development, teaching, and management responsibilities for Year 7 to 11 (GCSE), ensuring that all students achieve their full potential in courses such as Art, Craft and Design, Photography, Product Design, Textiles, and Hospitality and Catering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curriculum plans to meet the needs of students
  • Teach and manage a team of art and design teachers
  • Monitor student progress and achievement
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive education
  • Manage resources and budgets to ensure effective use of departmental funds
