Job Title: Head of Art and Design Faculty

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as the Head of Art and Design Faculty at Glenmoor Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced educator to lead our Art and Design department and inspire our students to achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Art and Design department, developing and implementing a stimulating and forward-thinking curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. They will also be responsible for teaching and learning, assessment and achievement, staff development, and extracurricular enrichment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Art and Design department, providing strategic leadership and ensuring a culture of high standards, creativity, and achievement.
  • Design and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners, reflecting the highest expectations for academic and artistic success.
  • Lead by example in delivering high-quality teaching that fosters innovation, creativity, and technical skill development.
  • Monitor and track student progress, using data to identify areas for improvement and ensuring high achievement across all key stages.
  • Support the professional development of Art and Design staff, promoting a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Lead and support extracurricular opportunities, including exhibitions, workshops, and clubs, to further enhance the artistic experiences and achievements of students.
Person Specification:

We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of outstanding teaching and leadership in Art and Design. The successful candidate will have a passion for creative education, strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to monitor and use data to improve student outcomes.
