Job Title: Head of Art and Design Faculty

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Art and Design faculty at Glenmoor Academy. As the Head of Art and Design Faculty, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to the department, ensuring a culture of high standards, creativity, and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a stimulating and forward-thinking curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Lead by example in delivering high-quality teaching that fosters innovation, creativity, and technical skill development.
  • Monitor and track student progress rigorously, using data to identify areas for improvement and ensuring high achievement across all key stages.
  • Support the professional development of Art and Design staff, promoting a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Lead and support extracurricular opportunities, including exhibitions, workshops, and clubs, to further enhance the artistic experiences and achievements of students.
  • Oversee the effective use and development of the department's facilities, ensuring that students have access to high-quality resources that support their learning and creativity.
Person Specification:
  • Proven track record of outstanding teaching and leadership in Art and Design.
  • A passion for creative education and a commitment to fostering high achievement and high standards in students.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire both students and staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to monitor and use data to improve student outcomes.
