Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to lead our Ofsted-regulated supported accommodation for 16-17-year-olds. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of care staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the daily operations of the supported accommodation, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the young people, their families, and external agencies.
- Safeguard the welfare of all residents, managing risk and responding to any concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
- Engage with external agencies, including social services, education providers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care for each young person.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to staff, fostering a positive and inclusive working environment.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's home or supported accommodation setting.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience working with young people aged 16-17, particularly those with complex needs or challenging behaviors.
- Experience in developing and implementing care plans and risk assessments.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and improving care standards.
