Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team in Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Your expertise will help drive business performance and inform key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Commercial Financial Analyst in the preparation of management reporting packs, including international travel and corporate deliverables.
  • Provide monthly financial projections and tracking of all opportunities and risks.
  • Prepare monthly OPEX reports to cost centre owners and ensure all financial systems are updated in accordance with Group deliverables.
  • Be a finance business partner to cost centre owners, supporting them in analysis and modelling for budgets and forecasts.
  • Support finance leadership in analysis and modelling for budgets and forecast across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flows.
  • Calculate sales commissions for accrual and payment.
  • Take a lead role in the preparation of OPEX budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage the budget and forecast process for all headcount across the international travel business.
  • Be an SME for all financial planning and reporting software, including TM1, HFM, and Anaplan databases.

Requirements

  • Newly qualified with an appropriate accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or a finalist working towards an appropriate accounting qualification.
  • Previous experience in an FP&A role, preferably in a high-volume transactional business with complex billing systems.
  • Firm understanding of customer segmentation and a curious, analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prioritize work and hit deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables, and experience with analytic tools such as UI Path and Alteryx.
  • Able to communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders and a self-starter with ambition to grow and develop.
