Role Summary

We are in search of a dedicated and innovative Electrical Installation Engineer to enhance our talented team of engineers. This position demands a proactive individual who excels in practical problem-solving and possesses strong communication abilities.

The primary responsibilities of this role include surveying, installing, commissioning, and providing support for site-based control systems and equipment for our esteemed clients. While the focus is primarily on electrical systems, there will be opportunities to engage in PLC programming, with training provided. You may work independently or collaborate with other engineers as part of a team. It is essential that the selected candidate ensures that all work is completed to the highest standards within established deadlines.

This operational role requires flexibility, as it involves considerable travel to various sites, typically within a maximum of three hours away. While most work will occur during standard hours, occasional overnight stays may be necessary, but these will not exceed 20% of the working week. Accommodations will be arranged for any travel exceeding 1.5 hours.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position with hours from 08:30 to 17:15, Monday to Thursday, and 08:30 to 16:00 on Fridays.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Electrical qualifications such as C&G, BTEC, NVQ3, ONC, or HNC/HND, with the 18th edition certification.
  • ECS Gold card holder.
  • Experience in service and support, electrical installation, or maintenance roles.
  • Familiarity with electrical design tools like EPlan, AutoCAD, or similar is advantageous.
  • Skills in control panel design, manufacturing, or electrical installation.
  • Experience with equipment installation and commissioning, particularly with PLCs.

Essential Experience:

  • A minimum of two years of hands-on experience.
  • Solid understanding of electrical diagrams related to control panel wiring or electrical installations.
  • Level 3 Electrical Installation (2365).
  • Level 3 Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS7671:2018).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid UK Driving License.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
