About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team in West Cornwall. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with substance misuse issues to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions, and develop personalized treatment plans to support their recovery journey.
- Deliver high-quality care and support to clients, including key work, care coordination, and intervention delivery.
- Manage an active caseload of clients, building strong relationships and providing a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to share their experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to client care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with the organization's values and goals.
Requirements
- ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (or willingness to achieve within 12 months).
- Demonstrable experience of working or volunteering in health, social care, criminal justice, or other specialist settings.
- Successful track record of working or volunteering with individuals who have experienced substance misuse issues.
- Driving license and access to a vehicle (for travel between services and with clients).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed, and contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Resilience under pressure, with the ability to prioritize work and manage competing demands.
- Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports and documentation.
- IT competence, with the ability to use a range of software applications and systems.
- Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays and support other With You locations when needed.
