An exciting role has become available for a Compliance Officer to join our esteemed client, a leading sandwich and salad manufacturer. With a turnover of over £25m, they have established a strong reputation for quality and safety. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and promoting food safety, quality, legality, and authenticity across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the production line staff adhere to good manufacturing and hygiene practices, providing advice and training as needed.
- Work closely with the production and quality team to address quality and safety issues, ensuring all relevant information is recorded, communicated, and investigated.
- Be the technical point of contact for the PM shift and responsible for the escalation procedure.
- Support and progress the food safety culture.
- Conduct temperature monitoring around the site and take necessary actions.
- Good knowledge of food safety and quality.
- Food safety level 3 certification.
- Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment in a similar role, although not essential.
- Familiarity with Windows, MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
