Nursery Teaching Assistant Role

Step Teachers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our team in the Enfield area. Our client is a reputable nursery that provides a stimulating and creative environment for children to learn and play.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Children's Learning and Development: Make a positive impact within the classroom, assisting children's learning and development.
  • Encourage Positive Behaviour: Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment by encouraging positive behaviour and providing pastoral support to children when required.
  • Communicate with Parents and Carers: Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing feedback on children's progress and achievements and fostering positive partnerships.
  • Assist with Planning and Delivery: Assist the class teacher with planning and delivery of engaging activities that promote learning.
Requirements:
  • Essential Qualification: Level 3 qualification is required.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in an Early Years setting within a mainstream school is essential.
  • Nurturing Nature: A nurturing nature and the ability to inspire learners of all abilities are essential.
  • SEN Experience: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience, is desirable.
  • Passion for Working with Children: A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach, is required.
