About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of automation assets through effective maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  2. Provide technical support to the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Team Leader, and Engineering Team Coaches, including completion of end-of-shift reports, fault logging, and data entry.
  3. Identify the root cause of automation breakdowns and prioritize corrective actions to meet operational processing requirements.
  4. Monitor equipment performance and collaborate with operational stakeholders to improve automation outputs.
  5. Contribute to Continuous Improvement projects, from conception to implementation, for machinery in the Hub/Mail Centre.

About You

We are looking for a qualified multi-skilled engineer with a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering. You should have a flexible approach and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively. A full UK driving license is also required, as you may be asked to travel to other sites.
