Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Heathrow Airport. As a key member of our Service Team, you will be responsible for the daily planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance and upkeep of a wide range of equipment and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maximise the use of existing electrical and mechanical equipment while ensuring customer service is not compromised.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on all equipment, ensuring "right first time".
  • Respond quickly to breakdown situations and carry out effective corrective maintenance regimes.
  • Enter all work carried out and parts used into the Maximo system.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and carry out effective root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers face-to-face, via email, or on the phone.
  • Ensure that contract service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently achieved and improved.
  • To carry out electrical maintenance work on high and low voltage, single and 3-phase electrical systems and associated equipment.
  • Undertake regular health & safety inspections with the Site Management Team.
  • To work efficiently and effectively and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Working as part of an established team, contributing to deliver best working practices and service to our customer base.
Requirements:
  • Electrical or Mechanical NVQ/BTEC/C&G Lv3 or equivalent in engineering or similar field.
  • Minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent in engineering or similar field.
  • 17th/18th Edition desirable.
  • Experience of working within a similar role (automated facility, MHE equipment, FMCG etc).
  • Electrical or Mechanical installation in an industrial environment.
  • Electrical fault-finding, panel wiring etc.
