Job Overview
Berry Bros. & Rudd, a renowned wine and spirit merchant, is seeking a skilled Spirits Advisor to join their team. As a Spirits Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, advising on and selling the company's extensive range of products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Present a high level of customer service, advising on and selling the full range of BB&R products and services to customers in person, by telephone, and through written correspondence.
- Maintain the shop and displays, including stock levels, tickets, Sake Fridge, tasting cupboards, and Fine Spirit Reserve, in a clean and tidy condition.
- Organize tastings for customers as necessary.
- Arrange for stock replenishment when required.
- Implement and participate in shop and company sales/marketing campaigns as directed.
- Liaise with the Cellars, Warehouse, and Despatch teams regarding the distribution of shop stock and deliveries.
- Handle transactions, process payments, and participate in cashing-up/till reconciliation.
- Be mindful of shop security, including fraud and theft.
Requirements
- Previous experience of delivering and maintaining an outstanding level of customer service and offering customers an unforgettable retail experience.
- The ability to foster and develop customer relationships.
- Experience in effectively dealing with stock replenishment.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent spirits knowledge and a clear passion for the industry.
- Presentable with a positive attitude and proactive approach.
- Enjoy working within and contributing to a high-performing team.
- Nimble and able to work calmly under pressure.
