Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the nuclear sector. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing and challenging requirements for existing waste containers and interface equipment. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting engineering activities, determining engineering requirements, and compiling documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and challenge requirements for existing waste containers and interface equipment
  • Support engineering activities as defined by the Engineering Manager
  • Determine engineering requirements and compile documents
  • Conduct site surveys and produce survey reports
  • Assist in design and process failure mode effects analysis
  • Prepare project documentation, processes, and reports
  • Develop and maintain expertise in design, manufacture, material selection, welding, fabrication, and machining techniques
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects
Requirements
  • High-level technical competency and significant experience in a related field
  • Experience in preparing project documentation, processes, and reports
  • Deep experience in design, manufacture, material selection, welding, fabrication, and machining techniques
  • Experience in the nuclear sector
  • Familiarity or previous design experience with nuclear, including mechanical handling
  • Experience with CAD (Inventor)
