Job Title: Electronics Lab Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Lab Engineer to join our team at Raytheon UK. As an Electronics Lab Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the engineering lab's test equipment calibration, lab material stock control, and supporting lab safety procedures.

About the Role:
  • Manage the engineering lab's test equipment calibration and ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Control lab materials and ensure that all materials are properly stored and accounted for.
  • Support lab safety procedures and ensure that all employees follow safety protocols.
  • Perform functional testing and diagnostics of complex electronic assemblies within an engineering lab environment under the supervision of senior design engineers.
  • Keep accurate test records and carry out any maintenance tasks as required.
  • Assist other disciplines to improve overall cost and quality of product.
Requirements:
  • A qualification in Electronics, e.g. HNC/HND or higher.
  • Approximately 2 years (or more) experience in an electrical role in engineering.
  • Demonstrable skills in electrical wiring, electronics, and soldering.
  • Diligence in capturing outcomes and preparing documentation sufficient for the purpose.
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and methods of testing systems in an electrical lab.
  • Familiarity with test software eg LabView.
  • Demonstrable experience in cable selection, termination, and safety testing for standard low voltage (230v) apparatus.
