Key Responsibilities:

  • Resource Planning: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our resource requirements, including driver and vehicle availability, to ensure that we can meet customer demands.
  • Liaison with Planners: Collaborate closely with our planning team to flex resources up and down, maximizing efficiency while maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • Driver Management: Authorize driver holiday and absence requests, ensuring that our drivers are able to take the time they need while minimizing disruption to our operations.
  • Short-Term Planning: Work four weeks in advance to identify and address any driver resource shortfalls, using a combination of local overtime, cross-contracting, and agency resource as needed.
  • Client Communication: Engage with clients to provide updates on upcoming resource provision, ensuring that they are informed and able to plan accordingly.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships with our planners and drivers to maximize the benefits of these relationships and drive operational excellence.
  • Duty Management: Act as duty manager on a rota basis, taking full responsibility for managing operational issues that arise during this time, including dealing with any unexpected events or disruptions.
