Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Technician to join our team at the University College London Cancer Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in all aspects of laboratory work, contributing to research projects, and ensuring the smooth running of the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and procedures, including molecular biology, genetic editing, cloning, and in vitro cell-based experiments.
  • Manage laboratory operations, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and supply ordering.
  • Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and research team to design and implement research projects.
  • Develop and maintain laboratory protocols and procedures.
  • Train and supervise junior laboratory staff.
Requirements
  • BSc with relevant laboratory experience or an MSc in Cancer Biology, Haematology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of Cancer Biology and Genetics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrable experience of laboratory management.
