About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Policy Trainee. As a Policy Trainee, you will play a key role in supporting our policy team in shaping environmental policy and driving meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis on environmental policy issues, including resource stewardship, greening the economy, natural environment, and low carbon future.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including NGOs, MPs, and other organizations.
  • Support the development of reports, briefings, and other policy documents.
  • Attend internal and external meetings, taking minutes and building relationships with our network.
  • Develop and present policy briefs and other materials to the team.
Requirements
  • Enthusiasm for supporting Green Alliance's vision of a green and prosperous future for all.
  • Interest in growing your understanding of politics in the UK and how environmental policy is developed.
  • Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to summarize complex information.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Collaborative and able to work as part of a team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and be flexible when plans change.
  • Good IT skills, with confidence using MS Office software platforms.

You will also participate in a Creative Access support programme, which includes induction training, monthly masterclasses, wellbeing support, and more.
