Credit Controller

The Credit Controller will play a pivotal role in the Accounting & Finance Department, managing and maintaining the debtor's ledger while ensuring timely payments. This role requires someone who has a strong background within Credit Control and has been responsible for key accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain the debtor's ledger, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Ensure timely payment of invoices and follow up overdue accounts, utilizing effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Prepare monthly reports on debtors for management review, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
- Liaise with clients to resolve any payment queries, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold data confidentiality, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the finance team to enhance credit control procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
- Monitor customer credit limits and recommend adjustments when necessary, ensuring the company's financial stability.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach.
- A solid understanding of credit control procedures and exposure within this kind of role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with relevant experience in credit control or a related field.
