Job Title: Lecturer – Health and Social Care

Job Summary:

Glasgow Kelvin College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer to join our team in the Health and Social Care department. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning and teaching to our students, supporting their academic and personal development, and contributing to the development of our curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess students in the Health and Social Care program
  • Develop and deliver curriculum materials, including lesson plans and assessments
  • Support students in their academic and personal development, including providing guidance and feedback
  • Contribute to the development of our curriculum, including identifying areas for improvement and suggesting new initiatives
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives, including quality assurance and quality improvement activities

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as nursing or social work
  • Teaching qualification, such as the Teaching Qualification in Further Education (TQFE)
  • Experience working in a post-compulsory education setting, preferably in the Health and Social Care field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and external partners
  • Ability to use technology, including learning management systems and online learning platforms
