Senior Crisis Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CAMHS Crisis Practitioner to join our innovative Tier 4 team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading crisis support for young people, independently conducting mental health assessments, and developing intensive interventions in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a crisis caseload of young people and their families, providing individualized care packages and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with young people and their families, working collaboratively with other professionals to promote multi-agency collaboration.
- Assess and manage high-risk adolescent clients, conducting risk assessments and formulating safety plans.
- Independently undertake crisis mental health assessments in various settings, including Accident and Emergency departments out of hours, and liaise with relevant individuals and agencies to promote a positive, safe, and meaningful experience for the young person and their families.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff, other professionals, and families involved in the care of the client, ensuring that risks are appropriately managed and confidentiality is maintained.
- Act as an autonomous practitioner, recognizing own limitations and seeking support when necessary, while promoting mental health and well-being in young people and their families.
- Participate in the provision of training and information for other professionals, sharing best practice and discussing current and future professional and clinical developments.
