Job Title: Radiographer Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer Specialist to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a key member of our radiography department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out specialized radiographic imaging procedures to a high standard, working to departmental guidelines and being accountable for your actions.
  • Deputize for Superintendent Radiographers and take responsibility for leading and coordinating the team in their absence.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for new staff, assistant practitioners, and student radiographers.
  • Participate in the evaluation and procurement process for new equipment within the department.
  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with clinical, managerial, administrative, and ancillary staff.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Radiography or equivalent, with a strong background in cross-sectional radiography (CT and/or MRI).
  • State Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload, with a flexible approach to working practice.
  • Competent in the use and care of a range of X-ray equipment.
