Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and document the quantities, quality, and movement of all raw materials and ingredients across all departments. You will ensure that all stock complies with specifications, is correctly labeled, and is stored in designated areas, while also managing stock lifespan and optimizing stock usage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and logging raw materials and ingredients using current systems.
- Conducting quality inspections of incoming materials and reporting any non-compliance to the Technical team and Department Manager.
- Defrosting materials according to the established plan.
- Issuing stock to production teams in a controlled manner.
- Managing raw material movement and ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Counting stock as needed and maintaining accurate records.
- Monitoring refrigeration temperatures and ensuring products are stored at the required temperatures, reporting any issues and coordinating repairs with the engineering team.
- Providing support to Production Operatives as needed in various processing tasks.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Strong numerical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Organizational abilities with a knack for prioritizing tasks and escalating issues when necessary.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with NPD sample requests and the ability to fulfill them as per specifications.
- Knowledge of the decanting process.
- A commitment to our values and a collaborative team spirit.
- Awareness of integrity and traceability.
- Understanding of relevant food safety and health & safety standards.
