Livewell Southwest is seeking a dedicated and experienced CAMHS Clinician to join our team. We are committed to providing high-quality mental health services to children, young people, and their families across Plymouth.

In this role, you will play a vital part in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of mental health conditions. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our service users.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and formulate diagnoses based on evidence-based practice.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs, incorporating a range of therapeutic interventions.
  • Manage risk effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of service users and staff.
  • Provide consultation and support to families, carers, and other professionals involved in the care of our clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to professional standards and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for staff and stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual with:

Essential Requirements:
  • A professional qualification at degree level in CAMHS mental health nursing, social work, or psychology.
  • Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a CAMHS setting.
  • Proven ability to conduct clinical assessments and formulate diagnoses.
  • Experience in delivering a range of therapeutic interventions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users from diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable Requirements:
  • CBT qualification in an accredited BABCP course.
  • Post-graduate training in treatment approaches relevant to CAMHS.
  • Experience in working with families and delivering group therapy.
  • Experience of running and facilitating DBT programs.
