About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team at Academics. As an LSA, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students, particularly a non-verbal autistic student in Year 3.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, promoting their academic and social growth.
  • Assist teachers in creating and implementing tailored learning plans, ensuring students receive the necessary support to succeed.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote student engagement, motivation, and self-confidence.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to plan and deliver lessons, adapting materials to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with primary-aged students, preferably in a special educational needs setting.
  • Child workforce DBS (preferably on the update service) and the right to work in the UK.
  • Two recent school-based references.
