Job Title: Sociology Graduate

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Sociology Graduate to join our team at Academics Ltd. as a Support Worker for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including Speech and Language Therapists, Senior Behavioural Analysts, and Occupational Therapists, to provide individualized support to students with autism.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to students and lead group sessions, following individualized targets and goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a safe and supportive classroom environment.
  • Encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation, using Applied Behavioural Analysis techniques.
  • Track and log pupil progress, adjusting targets as needed in collaboration with the team.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Proactive approach to supporting students with autism.
