About the Role

CField Construction is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and install IT solutions, including document management systems and construction-specific software
  • Review and update IT documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Provide recommendations on how to improve or upgrade existing software to enhance system performance and reduce costs
  • Aid in asset tracking, tagging, and destruction to ensure efficient inventory management
  • Assist with Office 365 administration, including creating new email addresses and passwords, aiding employees with password reset and account queries, and resolving Teams meeting issues
  • Collect IT usage statistics to inform strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with the wider team to investigate and propose IT solutions that meet business needs
  • Assist with site provisioning, including network setup, broadband connectivity, and meeting room installation
  • Support new starters with laptop imaging, mobile phone initialisation, and SIM allocations
  • Perform ad-hoc IT maintenance as required to ensure system uptime and optimal performance
Requirements
  • Hold a QAA Level 6 or higher in an IT-related field, such as Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or Information Technology
  • Have previous experience with Microsoft Office, including the suite of 365 applications, and Azure Active Directory
  • Possess advanced knowledge of the Windows 10 operating system, with knowledge in Windows 11 beneficial for planned upgrades
  • Have IT networking skills, including setup of 4G/5G remote networks, and setting up devices on the network
  • Have cloud platform experience, including Dropbox and SharePoint, with AWS administration and Procore experience a bonus
  • Be able to repair and upgrade laptops and phones, with the ability to crimp cables or re-image an OS beneficial
  • Have experience in video editing and Photoshop, with knowledge of the construction or engineering industries a plus
  • Be proactive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both staff and vendors
  • Have strong attention to detail, including robust documentation practices
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with good time management skills
  • Be able to adapt to changing environments and develop new solutions as required
  • Be willing to investigate and diagnose network problems in a timely manner
