Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team at HMP Highpoint South, a Category C men's prison in Suffolk, England.
Key Responsibilities- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review care plans, and develop treatment options.
- Undertake medication rounds and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed.
- Assess patients' health needs using an evidence-based framework and risk assess using sound clinical knowledge.
- Ensure that patients' physical and mental health are assessed on admission to the prison and throughout their period of custody.
- Make clinical judgments regarding immediate needs and long-term treatment.
- NMC Registered
- Qualified Nurse
- Mental Health experience
- Non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures
