We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Insurance Claims Specialist to enhance our service delivery at Marshall Wooldridge Insurance Brokers & Risk Managers. This role is pivotal in ensuring our clients receive exceptional support throughout the claims process.
In this position, you will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to keep all parties informed about the progress of claims, while also gathering and sharing necessary information as needed.
Your responsibilities will encompass the daily management of various commercial claims, including but not limited to property, motor, and liability claims. You will provide guidance to clients, engage with insurers, and actively drive claims towards resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all assigned claims, which includes documenting records and claim files, following up with clients and insurers for missing documents, and ensuring claims reach a satisfactory conclusion. You will also appoint Loss Adjusters/Engineers when necessary, negotiate settlements with insurers, issue settlement payments for eligible claims, and maintain precise electronic records.
- Generate statistics, reports, and insights as requested by Directors, Account Executives, and other stakeholders regarding client claims.
- Develop strong relationships with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, engineers, and other relevant entities.
- Participate in client meetings alongside Account Executives when necessary.

Your Qualifications:
- Proven knowledge of Commercial Insurance and policy language acquired in a claims setting.
- Strong skills in communication (written, verbal, video), negotiation, stakeholder management, influencing, and IT, along with the ability to empathize with clients.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulatory standards.
- Ability to effectively utilize insurer portals and other systems for reporting and processing needs.
