We are seeking a knowledgeable Contextual Studies Associate Tutor to support students enrolled in the M-Arch Architecture program.

We invite applications from individuals with a strong background in the history and theory of social and spatial justice, particularly as it pertains to architectural practice.

This role focuses on guiding students in their Contextual Studies inquiries, helping them to position their work within the broader context of spatial practices.

Your responsibilities will include conducting individual tutorials, leading regular group seminars, and delivering contextual lectures. You will also be tasked with preparing course materials, teaching, administrative duties, and assessment activities.

In collaboration with the Contextual Studies Lead and the design tutoring team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of education and support provided to our students, ensuring they successfully complete their studies. The theoretical components of the course will be closely integrated with design elements, facilitating a shared learning experience for students to engage with their own work and that of their peers.

Candidate Profile

The coursework revolves around three key themes: Identity & Equity, Climate & Ecology, and Publics & Commons. Expertise in these interconnected areas is essential.

This position is open to candidates who have obtained a BA or MA in relevant disciplines.
