Job Description

**Job Title:** Experienced Teaching Assistant Wanted

**Job Type:** Full-time, 5 days a week

**Location:** Yeovil

**About the Role:**

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a well-resourced special school in Yeovil. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in supporting children and young people with a range of special educational needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Adapt lesson activities to meet the individual needs of pupils
  • Create and maintain a stimulating learning environment
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students
  • Help students develop social skills and self-regulation skills
  • Assist the teacher with classroom management

**Requirements:**

  • Right to work in the UK (Valid Visa)
  • Relevant references and DBS/police checks if necessary
  • Able to work 5 days a week (term time only) 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

**Pay:**

Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. The pay rate is £12.81 an hour including holiday pay.

**Vetting:**

Five Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all of the staff we employ to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, TRA checks and will need to have a DBS; there will also be an interview.
