Bank Teaching Assistant

We are working with a client school in Yeovil, seeking Teaching Assistants to join their team. The school is an SEN School catering for pupils from Early Years/EYFS through to College.
The ideal candidate will have personal, professional or voluntary experience working with individuals that have special needs or mental health difficulties. They will be resilient and confident working with challenging behaviour, calm, empathetic and adaptable, proactive and flexible, and have excellent written and verbal English skills.
The role will involve working within the class to support the class teacher with their lessons. You will be working alongside a team of support staff in class and may also be required to work on a 1-1 basis. We have positions available in each age range (primary, secondary and college) so you will be matched to a class based on your experience and/or suitability.
This is a flexible working role, starting ASAP. Whether you are looking to work 1 or 5 days a week, we will be able to help you.
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Have experience supporting children and/or adults with Special Educational Needs
- Be seeking a rewarding role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
