About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HVDC Operations Engineer to join our team at SSEN Transmission. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and secure operation of our transmission network.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist with the operation and maintenance of our HVDC Caithness Moray Shetland (CMS) multi-terminal network and other FACTS assets.
  2. Work closely with the HVDC Operations Manager and other stakeholders to plan and execute maintenance activities, regular inspections, and fault response/repair of HVDC / FACTS assets.
  3. Assist with the creation, maintenance, and execution of critical asset repair plans, obsolescence plans, and spares holding strategies.
  4. Undertake other duties, training, and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required.
Requirements
  1. Degree qualified or time served with relevant experience in a relevant engineering area.
  2. Management experience in the delivery of successful operations and maintenance within a similar role/environment.
  3. Ability to communicate across all levels with both internal and external stakeholders.
