About the Role

We are a long-established family-run civil engineering business based in Oxfordshire, specializing in projects focused on the water industry.

We are seeking a skilled CAD technician to join our team and assist our civil engineering department in the production of GA's and detailed construction drawings for in-house design and build projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of water industry structures, processes, pumps, pressure piped systems, and mechanical installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the civils management team and clients to understand project requirements
  • Produce detailed 2D and 3D models of proposed works
  • Create 2D drawings for approval
  • Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with project specifications and client asset standards
  • Assist in the development of drawings to reach client approvals
  • Utilize Revit/Plant 3D for visualization of proposed works
  • Produce and distribute as-built drawings and records
  • Maintain an organized library of drawings and design files
Requirements
  • Experience within the water industry is highly advantageous
  • Competence in CAD software (Autodesk AEC collection)
  • Knowledge of hydraulic/civils design methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Flexible working patterns welcomed (part-time and full-time considered)
