Job Summary:

The Hampshire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to lead our catering team and oversee the delivery of high-quality food services to our residents. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the culinary operations, ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences
  • Supervise and train a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
  • Manage food budgets and inventory to minimize waste and optimize resources
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations, including allergen awareness and control
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide exceptional customer service and support

Requirements:

  • Recognized Level 2 (or higher) catering qualifications
  • Proven experience in supervising and training culinary staff
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations

Working Arrangements:
